Can a shampoo really protect your hair color?

​

Color-treated hair is highly susceptible to fading due to washout, UV exposure and chemical instability. To determine performance in color retention, Provital latest laboratory test compared three shampoos: one premium, one mass market and one enriched with 2% Kerarice™.

 

The Experiment:

Bleached dye hair was treated with the shampoo samples, followed by collecting water during each rinsing. By comparing rinsing water at the first, third, fifth and seventh time points, the lighter the color, the better the fixation efficacy.
